Well hello there!
My name is Heather, and I’m a self-professed foodie from Dallas, TX.
My love for cooking has been with me for as long as I can remember. My poor parents (bless their hearts) suffered through all my “cooking” as a kid, which was likely more akin to science experiments than food. But they still ate my creations – carrot soup was my specialty – and encouraged my creativity in the kitchen. Thanks, mom and dad.
I’ve moved on from my carrot soup days, and now am trying to learn and grow as a home cook! I get way too inspired watching Gordon Ramsey shows, and he’s probably mostly to blame for my cooking of anything I can get my hands on. That, and I LOVE FOOD.
I started this blog as a reminder to myself of all the dishes I’ve cooked and been proud of, and it makes it so much easier to share recipes with others. I hope you’ll find some inspiration here, and maybe even pick up a recipe or two.
Last thing I’ll mention – I’ve been cooking now for most of my life at feel at home in the kitchen… so I’m mixing it up with baking! Baking has always been my kitchen kryptonite, so I’m trying really hard to tackle that element of cooking next. You’ll probably start to see some pretty cakes coming through here soon (fingers crossed!)
Anyways – welcome fellow foodies, enjoy your stay!
